my version of Bald Eagle reamer holder

It was done this way because my reamers, both have round shank. It worked fine, hope it may help some one. Just little lather work required because I have had these collets ready. You can see an HS disk inserted in to reamer holder. that is the surface contact for ball bearing. Of course in-expensive collets will work too because it's all floating.

It's fun to experiment with what works best for you.
I made one similar with the reamer riding on a ball bearing, I found I ran into chatter too often so I removed the ball bearing and went to flat-on-flat and no longer had the issue. Probably has a lot to do with the individual driving the reamer, how it's held, rate of advance etc. Since switching to a flush system I went to a Manson holder because it's faster and hands free and that's worked fine as well.

Good luck with it, lots of ways to skin this cat- from vice-grips on the reamer to expensive setups; it's all about what works for you.
