My report on Australian Outback ammo 223

Today, I shot some Australian Outback Ammo 223 ammo 69gr Sierra MK out of my 20" AR-15; my rifle has a 20" Larue Stealth match bbl. Several of the groups were under 3/4MOA at 100 yards. I was able to hit gongs out to 500 yards. I pulled a bullet, and it had 21.5grs of some unknown type of ball powder. Velocity average was an anemic 2726 FPS. But the SD was 12.5. The fired brass all weighed within one grain of each other. Couldn't they have picked a higher velocity-producing powder, yet I was hitting gongs at 500 yards? I guess I'll always find something to gripe about.
