I think your going to love it. I shoot a 224 TTH, ( 22 0n the 6mm case) and shoot the 77 and 80 gr. Sierra match bullets. At the velocity you will be pushing them the Sierra`s really expand, excellant varment bullets, but blow great big holes in coyotes, not good for hide hunters.

Very nice, is that a Fajen stock? That 22-243 is a screamer round. I am currently finishing up on my 1909 Argenten Mauser M98, 22-284 build.

The guys over at www.mausercentral.com would love to see you'r Mauser build! Great site for Mauser shooters.

Bobthenailer...I don't know what stock it has. I baught the rifle at a gunshow last year, was chambered in the 7x57 mauser. Wanted a long range coyote killer. Didn't really matter to me if the pelt was saved or not. Anyway, it's a 1-9 twist Shilen CM #5 contour. Still in the development stage. I'm shooting Hornady 75 A-Max. Also, using RL-25. Have not found want it "likes" yet. It will be fun once I get it where I want it. Going to put on a Burris Eliminator for optics. Anyone else know if it is a Fajen stock ? I would like to know or who makes them? Thanks for the comments...Will post more pics once i get it figured out.

Always loved the 22-243 and its bigger brother the 22-243AI. The group below was shot with moly coated bullets in Lapua cases. Velocity was 3,670 ft/sec.

Thats pretty sweet! I just picked up a 22-243AI barrel for a savage action cant wait to get it put together. I to will be doing some long range coyote shoots. 600 yard group is impressive.
