My New (old) 30-06 AI

I experimented with some 9.3x62mm Norma Brass through my Hydro Die. I was very impressed with the outcome. I created a Cartridge with a Shoulder over 2" tall .464" Wide to compliment the .480" base. It really made an impressive critter and all dimensions appear to clean up a 30-06 Chamber nicely. Just thought I would share and pass it on. I am still working on my 7 Sniper, this is just one more experiment along the way. I know folks have played with the 9.3 before in the past, I just don't see any info on it. We can just call it the 30X62.

So have you created a 9.3x62 with a 30-06AI neck and shoulder? What sort of capacity gain over your normal 30-06AI are you expecting?

A 7x62 would probably be a good alternative to a 284, without the primer pocket issues

I'm still waiting on a replacement Scale, but I did a test to see if the wider base could overcome the Water Volume of a similar 7x64 Case with a Higher Shoulder and it could not. My designs use 30 Degree shoulders. I can guarantee this has more capacity than the standard 06 AI. It does it with a very strong presentation even with the shorter neck.
