My morning Coffee with the 300 WSM

So I decided to screw the 300 WSM back on the Bat M and do a little confirmation testing at 500 yards.
Original load was a 185 Juggernaut with 64.0 grains H4350 210m primer and seated at 2.500 with comparator.
Conditions were nice I did have a slight head wind of 3-5 mph. I’m thinking leave it alone as it’s still hammering just as always.

Where is the 5th shot? Nice shooting!

I loaded up 3 different powder charges and decided to just do 4 shots due to heat in the barrel. Even with the 3 4 shot groups I had shot the barrel still got toasty and I waited roughly 5 mins in between each set.
That group posted was my original load but I went half grain below and above just to see if it liked one or other better.

Once in a Blue Moon my 6.5-284 can get me to do that for her. I need it relatively cool, absolutely no wind, zero mirage, less than one cup of coffee and we're dancing perfectly cheek to cheek.
For me, moments to cherish.

Nice job James! As always! Wish I had half your skill at tuning a rifle and shooting said rifle. :D:D

It’s just luck mostly. But when it happens it’s comforting to see the fruit of all the testing. There’s probably more in it but my old eyes and soft shoulder just can’t take it like I could say 10 years ago.
I pulled the 22 BRAI barrel off and screwed this one on and man what a difference in recoil!
