my max oal short m70

with some milling, elimination of the center action screw, welding of the mag. box I have gotten my push feed short m70 to a max cartridge length of 3.265. So far it seems to feed in 284win and extract and eject but I will keep trying different bullets to see if I run into problems

That’s equal to all the ‘mid’ length actions coming out now…very good. Really nice for that 284 and would be awesome for RSAUM/WSM/6.5 PRC hunting builds too. I recently built a long throated 300 WSM on a mid length action and it performed spectacularly with bullets seated above the neck shoulder junction.
