My Local Sportsmen's Warehouse

A few weeks back I was in local Runnings and saw 3 lbs of 8208 on the shelf and grabbed all 3 @ $35/lb. Was shocked at the low price for these times. It's what my .204 loves with 39 gr blitzking's. I hadn't seen any on the shelf in 3 years. A day or so later I was in Scheels and they had it for $55/lb. Was really glad I grabbed what I did.

Perfect, congratulations I would have done the same.

You'll bitch and wine about the price, but you will pay it. You would rather pay
the high price than do without. Hypocrites.
I'm not sure why you say hypocrites. Just like everyone else here, I wouldn't let $10 stop me from shooting. Rather I would find someone saying they're gonna quit due to price to be a hypocrite, cause I don't believe anyone here is going to quit over costs increase, we just don't use that much powders. The majority of the cost is still bullets at the end of the day. I currently get about 230-250 rounds per pound of powder, that's about $0.04/round.

30.00/pd is 12 1/2 cents each. 48/pd is about 20 cents each(240 rds per pound). I also found the imr 8208 @ Runnings 35.99. Bought 2, mine and a buddies 204r shoot well with it. Powder/bullet cost is why I take a 22 rimfire with on prairie dog runs.

At my club we started a share board for powders and projectiles we wanted to try out but not be stuck with a full pound if it didn't work out. (How many of us have powders we bought just to try out and it's been sitting there ever since?)

Now two or three of us go in on a pound and split it up. Pathetic we had to do this but it is what it is.

I bought some powder for $35/lb recently, that's about $0.14 each for me. What I was referring to was the increase, if you increase $10 it's $0.04 increase. Would you stop shooting over $10 ??? The shooting range will cost me more than anything else. I'm not going to quit going to the range over $10. I'm sure I'm not the only person that has enough reloading supplies to last quite a while.

I had bought a case of 8208 a number of years ago when Varget started to reach new heights. Truth be told new heights were achieved since then. :(

Sounds like no matter what you say these days someone is going to be red assed about it. Don’t feed the bears. Lol.
