Good morning,

Do you mind taking a picture of the underside of the mag well where the mag release lever is? and posting it here? I'd like to see how much it sticks out. To see if accidental engagement of the lever is a possibility and dumping the mag at the worst possible time i.e. hunting. thank you

Thank you! Based on your picture the possibility of an accidental mag dump is reduced with this setup compared to the OEM plastic bottom metal and the DIP bottom metal.

Eastern white pine, used a heavy duty sealer on top which is why it looks a little darker then it really is

you did an excellent job but isn't that wood kinda soft for countertop?

It is soft yes, but that sealer is really hard, if I can find the name of it I’ll post it. Had it for over a year now with no problems

I remember a guy that would put a clear epoxy mix on soft wood tops heat it with a torch to spread it. when it was done it looked like a glass top. it was thick clear and hard

Yeah that sounds like the same kind. the kind I used came in two different jugs, you mixed it then pour it on and spread it out, then you’d go back like 15 minutes later and use a torch to get the air bubbles out.

yes mix the hardner and epoxy together
