My First Range Day - RPR(imfire)

While I grew around guns and hunting and able to plink off my back porch, I have not really shot much over the last 25 years.

(I had the local gunsmith debur and polish the bolt and action.)

It iwas nice enough here in SE WI to head to the range Yesterday (Sun 3/29) and break in, sight in and test ammo. I think it really likes CCI Green Tag. The pics are target from mags 2 & 3, 10 rounds each. I am quite happy with the results. They were off the lead sled.

If I can get another couple range days in to dial in the scope and work on the bipod and bag beyond just hitting up the plinking range, I am going to try my first NRL22 match at the end of April.

It appears your RPR Rimfire is more accurately timed than mine. The trigger and bolt lift made decent groups extremely difficult. I decided to try a Timney trigger and when I disassembled the rifle to install it I almost just threw it in the trash. Some of the components of the action were awful. I went ahead with the job, got it all back together and made a range trip. Surprisingly, ten-shot groups in the .3"to .5" range at 50 yards and a vastly improved bolt lift and trigger pull.
