My First "Not Positive" Feedback

At least it wasn't a negative feedback, but it still ain't right.

Last week a member posted:

"WTB Remington SPS Long Action Stock"

So I sent him a PM:

"I've got just what you're looking for. A brand new 700 long action SPS BDL stock with a sporter barrel inlet. It's the latest/greatest version, black in color with the grey colored grip panels, and the new Remington Super cell recoil pad."

On Wednesday, he said he'd take it. I boxed it up and sent it on Friday, and it made it on Monday. he didn't pick it up till Wednesday, then sent me a PM:

"I got it but it's not the stock I wanted but I will live with it."

Fast forward to today, and a get a "neutral" feedback:

"The stock he sent was not the grey SPS stock it a terrible excuse for a stock I wouldn't put it on a BB gun"


I just felt I needed to clear the air on my end.

I don't know what kind of a train wreck of a stock you musta pawned off on the guy, but the name "Alf" has always instilled warm fuzzy feelings in me ever since the popular sitcom. jd

I dont know how he didnt understand what stock it was... just by reading it i know its one of the black plastic onea that comea on the lower end rem 700 rifles from factory... nat hard to figure out... thats what he wanted.. you delivered... noy rocket science!

What was he expecting a factory hs stock?

I also have worried/wondered about my first neutral or negative feedback and figured it would be about the same type of deal. Its not your fault a manf. makes a product to whatever standards, its your duty to descibe it as it is which you have done. I've got a small list of "no deal with" and this fella just got added to it because I like my reputation on here and I do not want it tarnished. I've seen you posting this stock or others just like it and from what I've seen he got what he asked for, his problem is with remington, not you.

I have never gotten the negative feedback, but I have been there. when a deal is struck for a price shipping included, and someone wants me to ship and insure it a certain way with out $$$ to do so. My guy wanted it to go fedex and in my case it was going to cost me an extra $47 to do it and he didn't want to pay $47 more so deal cancelled.
