I absolutely love the basket weave in the stock. Amazing.

THANK YOU! Yeah he spent a long time figuring that out!!! ~hint~ I saw him do this so it's true...he took lined notebook paper, cut it along the lines, then did a basket weave with it to get his over and under setup correct!!! I figured it to be brilliant, but he's my Pop

Amazing that he chose the 6x284. I have a 600 in 6mm Remington and it is really shoe horned in that short little action. I had a 6x284 years ago and I once shot a big gator that came up to a dock where kids and dogs were playing. Two ladies were there who kind of looked like liberal don't shoot anything people. But it was an awesome/epic shot, only a 50ys. I turned to the ladies to see what they thought and pieces of gator head were still raining out of the sky.

As a kid I read everything I could find on the stock makers of the 30s-60s period.
I dreamed that one day I could do what they did. But alias, my skills at hand craving wood or metal where not the skills your dad had.
