6x45 (223) accuracy loads

AR-Comp is another good powder for the 70-80 grain bullets in the 6X45. I am getting right at 2700 fps with an 80 grain Sierra SSP bullet out of my 18" AR and that is with a mild load of 24.5 grains with a CCI 400 primer.

I'm thinking your handle looks very familiar listed on some load data for the 6x45?

Yes I have been using the 6x45mm for many years for predators and back in the day posted a lot of data on Predator Masters forum. One of the members there had a pressure tester and compiled a very good list of loads that are still on the forum.
I still have both a DTech Custom AR and a Cooper chambered in 6x45 as it’s a neat round with 223 brass being plentiful and simple to convert and easy to load.
Hard to find a load that doesn’t shoot good.

Well I want to thank yo for all your work pulling together the data.
It's my go to for load work.

Same here. I built my AR because of all the talk on that forum. I came "this close" to building out my 700 in 6X45 as well, but decided on a 7TCU instead so I could step up to 120 grain bullets. I still might get a 6X45 barrel for it if X-Caliber runs another 45% off sale.

H4895 - 25.7gr
Starline Brass
CCI 450
Sierra 85gr hpbt
2865fps out of a Tikka t3x with 22 inch IBI barrel .

Probably my most favourite / accurate rifle that I own .
I’d be interested in trying some of the new Hornady 80gr eld-vt bullets, but can’t get them here where I live yet .
The 6x45 ( 6mm-223 ) is such a great cartridge, low component costs , very good accuracy, and it performs way above it’s weight class on animals in my recent experiences.
