My Dad Passed On Today—Thank You all for the Replies

My Dad passed 2 1/2 years ago. Consider your self blessed that it was quick for both of you. Your right, you are never prepared no matter what you have done to be so. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Im very sorry for your loss. I pray that your heart will find comfort and peace in the passing of your father.

Very sorry for your loss, Kim. To go quick can be a blessing as much as a curse, but you did get to know him well and no doubt help him through his struggles. He was blessed to have known you, and likewise you to have been part of him.

Lost my mother 10 years ago. I still cry at her memory, had 8 months to prepare for her leaving us and I was in no way ready. How can anyone be? My thoughts are with you and your loved ones, know that I shed a tear reading this as that pain hasn't left me completely. Prayers for all of you.

It was quick— My dad passed away today - He’s made it through so many illnesses I thought I was ready but you find out you never are.

Sorry for you're loss. My dad isn't doing well
And I know I won't be ready. It is already making me upset.

This sucks man. Been there myself, I lost mine just over two years ago now and my mother the year before that. Both were relatively young, 67 & 65 respectively and neither went quickly unfortunately but both were blessings when they went. Remember the good times and try to be the man he taught you to be. I wish I could say it gets easier as time goes on but I find myself thinking of him more now than I did when I first lost him. Prayers are with you man. Its tough but you will get through it.

Sorry for your loss, I hope you and your family carry the good memories of his time spent with you.

I'm sure he is proud to have raised good kin folk such as your self.

There will be a clear night sky when you can look above to see him smiling down on you.

That's what counts in life, true hart spark as we carry the memories of a good man that give it his all to raise his family.

This is what I see in my Pops before me, a chance to carry the torch and make him proud.

I hear so often people say " It was for the best, they were in so much pain ! " Well, that certainly may be true for the loved one that is leaving us, but for the ones they left, it's never going to give comfort immediately. Never has for me. Im sorry to hear about your loss. Remember all the best times and not the recent worst. God bless. John

My condolences my friend. Lost my own father about 6 weeks ago. Not easy. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My deepest condolences. Mine passed over 14 years ago. But he is still with me every hunt and every time I shoot the .270 he bought me when I turned 16. If you shared this hobby we on here all love he will be with you just the same.
