Nice, what part of the state if I can ask. CWD has taken its toll in places. Found a lot of carcasses a few years ago. One buddy north of me about 50 miles had over 50 dead ones around a big pond for the year.

CWD, chronic wasting disease, others call it blue tongue.
No expert on the subject, but both cause issues with drinking. The reason most are found dead around water, yet severely dehydrated.
The big pond I mentioned is in NE corner. Maybe mother nature has done her work.
I hunted western side and we ran across a surprising number of carcasses around ponds out there. All white tails no mulies.
