I shoot a good ol 270 for everything.. I rely on good hunting skills not half mile maybe shots..

Well I suppose if you have such 'good hunting skills', maybe you should put the rifle down and hunt with archery equipment?

I hunt ALL seasons with all weapons allowed during the seasons and in the specific areas. Including archery hunting and river bottoms close to town where rifles, handguns with barrels over 10", or anything using a cartridge originally intended for a rifle are not allowed. Shots are almost always under 100 yards in the river bottom. Just because people like rifles that can shoot long range doesn't mean they don't know how to hunt.

But please teach us your awesome skills that allow you to get close enough for a 270 Winchester rifle. Can't imagine ever being THAT good. :

I do hunt with archery equipment. Have for years. And not that training wheel stuff either.. If ya wanna learn my "Awesome " skills it's gonna cost ya..

Why on earth would anyone only have two rifles? "Need" has absolutely nothing to do with it. I buy rifles because I "want" them, not because I need them. How many pairs of shoes does your wife have? Issue closed.
