My 6x47L experience

I had a new 6x47L barrel installed on my rem 700 action and I shot a local match yesterday with it. The match is a new match that isn't sanctioned by the NRA. It is called the Field Precision Rifle match. String of fire follows the F-open and FT/R. Difference is rounds must be fed from a mag whether it be blind or detachable, barrels are limited to 26", scope magnification limited to 25x, any caliber up to .35, and must be fired off bipod. I shot the following scores with it: 194-5x 194-4x 195-7x for a total of 583-16x. The load I was using was 38.5 gr of H4350 with a 105 Lapua ignited by a CCI 450. I had a great time with this new barrel. I was very surprised at how well it bucked the wind. Didn't have the wind problems with the 6x47 like I have experienced with my 308.

peterf225, Good shooting! What target is shot for this course of fire? Is it the F target or the highpower target. I have a 6x47L and it shoots very well. It is a single shot, so it would not quailfy fot this.

Thanks! We are shooting the F-class targets with 3" x-ring.
