My 6 Year Old’s First Deer

Here’s a few pictures of my 6 year old and her preparation before the youth hunt this weekend along with pics of her right before she shot and a pic of her with her first harvest.

She loaded all of her own bullets, she put in the time shooting her gun learning how to shoot it first off of a bench and then standing and shooting off of a Bog DeathGrip Tripod at a 4” steel plate at 100 and 200 yards

That’s so awesome! Both my boys killed their first deer at 6 and I can remember like it was yesterday-it was 17 and 19 years ago! The fact that you have her reloading and practicing like that is great. Beautiful little girl! Great job dad!!

That’s great to see, I have a little Howa Mini I barreled to 6mm Grendel and 85gr Sierra HP Gamekings (2900 FPS) for my 7 yo son. We’re getting ready for our youth hunt in 1 1/2 weeks and I hope to see the same smiles on his face!
