MY 25 X 47 LAPUA BUILD & LOAD WORK-UP

Oh yea that 6.5 is a shooter as well as the 6mm. Many years ago I owned the 6 x 47 and it gave me the tightest group at long distance - 600 yds. I ever shot at just under 1 inch.

I think it would be good on deer Bill.
maybe I should spin one up for the
Defiance and try it on some Sika in
Scotland.
Yes Sir, I have already asked my builder to re-barrel my Hunter Model 7 to it in a 1 - 10 Tw. barrel. Planning to try the 110 gr. Nosler Accu-bond on deer back here in the swamp. A friend has already worked up a load for that bullet and H-4350 @ M V 3100 fps +.

Bill, with the accuracy you are getting, the big skeeters sound like better targets.
Yea, I'm thinking very seriously about going back there one evening with my rifle and sitting in the blind to see if one might pitch close by.

Well, just realized I have a bad batch of these Sierra 131 gr. MK bullets. Should have measured this before I started loading but I measured from base to tip. Was checking to see if my lands had moved back with the Wheeler Method and saw shorter numbers than I originally saw up front. Deductive reasoning says that my chamber is not shrinking so I started looking elsewhere. Measured 20 bullets that I was about to load and realized the variance was a whopping .010 from base to ogive over the 20 count. Seating bullets measuring from case base to ogive with Sinclair tool but unfortunately that will not correct the issue. Stopping with this bullet and going to Berger 135 gr. LRHT.
** UPDATE ON THESE **
Sierra sent an e-mail saying they are replacing these with NEW all same lot # bullets. Apparently they were able to find an issue as well. Probably will go back and re-test at some point.

Bill -

Howdy !

Glad you received a positive response back from Sierra !

That Model 7 1-10 project reminds me of the “ Red Butt “ M-77 .250-3000 I had.
Sounds like another great project !

Keep it comin’ !
