Muzzle jump and accuracy?

I have been shooting a 204 off of a lead sled at 100 yards. I felt I was doing ok, but a guy made a comment that the muzzle jump can affect my POI. I am usually just lightly holding the rear of the gun and then just touching the trigger. Figured the jump was after the bullet is out of the barrel and does not matter. Is this right? Should I be trying to hold the forarm down some as I shoot? The gun is a heavy barrel so it is not real light, but just curious as to what you guys think of this and am I ok with the way I am doing it?

Thanks, Jason

Since the force on the gun is the same as the force on the bullet, the gun is moving while the bullet is in the barrel.
This is why holding the rifle exactly the same way with the same pressure on grip, shoulder pressure, cheek pressure, etc., from shot to shot is ESSENTIAL for good groups.
