Muzzle breaks....recommendations

I know their is a lot of choices out there for muzzle breaks did some research still not sure which one I'm building a 6.5x47 for target and dogs with a heavy barrel the rifle may b around 12lbs I'm relatively new at precision shooting an could use some advice from more experience shooters thx

Also in the precisionrifleblog check out the "what the pros use" to see what the top PRS shooters in this country like.

APA lil or fat bastard is a safe choice.

Find ross schuler brakes.. very well priced, and work perfectly. I have around 12-15 of them, various sizes on various rifles

Terminator, Have a T2 on my SAUM and works really well. I am not sure if they are available in the US though.

I wish that I had kept the contact info on who I got this one from on this site, it works really well, I would like to buy more of them

Ackleyman , this looks like the one I have on my 300wby . mine is from muzzle brakes and more . he is on here , he goes by IdahoCDT . this would be the brake before his new beast brake . I have a beast on my 338 lapua .

my 300wby

my 338 beast brake , no top holes , different shape side holes

I have 2 of Ross Schuler's brakes on my SP pistols,
the 284 wears a 4 gill,
I have tested several boxes of 175gr+ bullets in it,
and the other one when finished,
will be a 280I AI and will wear a 5 gill brake.

I shoot 5 x 15x rifle scopes with standard eye relief's
and have no fear about receiving "Scope eye" again,
using his brakes, they work!!!!!!!!!!!
