Must be the season for radical Vortex fluting

Seems to be a rash of requests for really aggressive fluting lately. Me likes. Remember, I have the capability to flute a barreled action without removing the barrel. So, bedding will not be effected nor lug alignment. Makes things very simple, and a very good option for factory barreled actions. Thanks for all the work to date guys and Happy New Year.

This would be the closest that I could get, with 8 flutes of course. This barrel has 6 flutes.

Looks good. How close to the ends can you get?
How tight of a twist can you go with the vortex? I have a couple projects in mind for a couple different things

I can get within about 1 inch of the end of the barrel. Just have to have something to hold onto for the machining. I have done twists from 180 deg. to 1250 deg. One extreme to the other. Here is a
pic of the most aggressive to date. .388 Norma Improved with 1250 deg. of twist. Just let me know what strikes your fancy. Very easy to program twist changes.
