Need help from Savage 12 target owners
Which of these 2 bases for a 12 target dual port?
The solid base would be stronger however, will it clear the ports? Interfere with ports?
No response from Murphy at current.

On my 338L solid top receiver I used the solid Murphy rail and the edge next to the ejection port aligns perfectly with the port. Much more rigid stainless rail for big scopes than aluminum EGW IMO.

I am all about saving money but the Murphy rails are truly a work of art. The fit and finish are second to none in my opinion.

Reply received from Murphy. The solid base rail will not interfere with either of dual ports.
EGW doesnt make a solid base for the 12 that I can see. I went ahead and ordered the Murphy.

EGW51000 is all I could find from EGW.

The scope mounts span the ports as well, I’ve not had any problems or ever felt the need to have anything other than the rails EGW offers for the model 12 Savage out to 1000 yards, maybe a 338 Lapua magnum would be different, I’d be lying to say I knew that answer.
