MPA Axiom action and MPA barrel?

I found a new 6 BR MPA barreled action for sale but need some opinions on it as I don't know a whole lot about them. I thought they just made chassys. Was thinking about picking it up for the wife to get her into LR shooting.

It's an Axiom action (not a switch lug) with an MPA barrel. My main question I guess if it is of high quality, or more of a good quality/budget type action and barrel? Also, who makes their barrels? Are they in house or sourced out? Are they R700 clone actions so they'll accept all the R700 goodies? Is it a 2 or 3 lug bolt? Lastly does anyone have an MPA action/barrel and how do you like it, how does it shoot?

The guy is asking $1200 for it, brand new never fired. Barrel is 26" 7 twist

This forum revolves around benchrest , not prs stuff which i think the axiom is geared towards. Tons of info on snipershide and like i said , id put curtis axiom in search engine and see what pops up. I think the company had some issues a while back and most imlortantly , you want parts support.

It's called "accurate shooter" benchrest, f-class, prs, small bore, any shooting discipline. There is even a new handgun section. Again, why open your mouth?

MPA makes their own barrels, they bought Clay Spencer's barrel making machinery and believed acquired the needed knowledge from Clay. It's Curtis Axiom action(short action Rem 700 clone) so same trigger and aftermarket stock as a Rem 700 short action. MPA has a 3/8 MOA accuracy statement on their website. Do a web search on "Virgina Hog Rifle" Clay Spencer offered these accurate rifles, he was a very talented Gunsmith and shooter.
I personally own a couple of MPA rifles with the WTO Switch Lugs. A 6mm Dasher and a 6.5PRC. Both rifles shoot very well.

Another positive MPA note: You can order replacement barrels direct from MPA for that Axiom action without having to send your action in. Just give MPA the serial number of that action, they have the barrel tennon dimensions on file to make your new replacement barrel.

I bought a MPA 6GT to shoot the factory class at the Blast. It seems alright and shoots good but the action and gun is clunky.
What's clunky about the gun? The action I can understand because they aren't particularly designed for Benchrest, but more geared towards a bit of debris in the air that can cause a tight action to suffer in cycling, especially fast when needed.

This forum does not "revolve around benchrest". Good night....
