Motor Vehicles and Cartridges

[QUOTE="dave@aDave, post: 37539366 My 264 Winchester Magnum burns a bunch of the powder that your 6.5 Creedmore saves.

Yup, and you have to stop at the LGS to fill up more often..... for sure YMWV.[/QUOTE]

A friend of mine who shoots 6PPC claims that he can shoot all year long on the powder I burn with 20 shots.

Whose up for making a cartridge where we seat a 6.5mm bullet onto the 1lb powder can; insert primer and it's ready to go?

When I want something I buy it. I pay little attention to the green folks. There is absolutely no way you can make a significant difference when it comes to energy used, until all energy is produced from solar power. I like my comfort. I drive a big car and keep my home heated and cooled to make me comfortable. The environmental advocates have forced so much regulation on industry that nothing meaningful is produced in this country. China makes most of what we use here and they don't care about the environment.

I guess we should be thankful that those folks in China are willing to sacrifice their environment for our convenience and comfort. Then again when you watch video clips from Nightly Business Report stories and see entire populations wearing surgical style masks you wonder just how many of them are happier than a pig in a new mudhole to be doing that for us.

I'm doing my part for global warming. I'm killing groundhogs with a 17HM2 and a 17HMR instead of those powder hungry 17 Hornets. The result is less heat and less methane.

The greenheads never mention that China is building 300 coal fired powerplants this year, just not in their own country.

They also build plenty of power plants fueled by diesel fuel. I remember some years back reading that they were starting construction on 1 power plant every week.

My 338 LM is lots faster than my Mustang 5.0 Track Pack GT, but the fun factor is about the same......

My 22 K Hornet is great fun too, and the neighbors like that it is death on the local coyote population without being that much louder than the Mustang......

.50 BMG. . . like the fuel gauge on a ‘85 K30 with a big block. Watch the powder hopper go from F to E.

Wow, that brings back the good ol' days. No need for a tachometer, I've got a fuel gauge.

Interesting though; counting kernals is for us small Cal shooters. I don't hear of a 50 BMG shooter counting kernals.
