Motor Vehicles and Cartridges

When I saw a bumper sticker the other day that said “My JEEP is burning the fuel that your hybrid saves,” it got me to thinking about cartridges in motor vehicle terms.

Like, “My 338LM is burning the powder that your 6XYZ saves”.

Some cartridges are more like crotch rockets or sports cars, and others are more like tractors or work trucks. Like a 45 ACP shooting 230 gr ball ammo is like getting hit by a train, just because you can see it coming does not change the outcome.

What are some comparisons between vehicles and cartridges y’all shoot?

An acquaintance bought a Tesla about a year ago. Wouldn't stop talking about it. 'Hey, dig me! I'm saving the planet and doing it in style', to that effect. It rubbed me the wrong way one day (a bad cup of coffee can make me mean as a snake) and I asked him how his coal-powered car was running. He looked at me like I was speaking Tagalog and wearing a Fruehauf mudflap loin cloth. After a minute or so, he gathered himself sufficiently to respond, 'My car is electric', to which I responded 'How the hell do you think most of the electricity in this country is generated? Never mind the transmission inefficiency between the point of generation and the point of consumption.'

Hasn't said a word to me since. It worked!
