Most accurate 22 semi auto out to 100 yds?

I used to shoot Rimfire Silhouette out to 108 yards. Most of my competition was shooting modified 10/22's and had $2000 to $2500 tied up in them. I bought a new Cooper for a little over 1K and did nothing to it other than a good optic. I could win or tie most every shoot with that rig. It was a good choice for me. The best thing I did was to test many types of top grade standard velocity ammo for it. My rifle really liked SK Rifle Match. YRMV.

Kidd. And cmmg .22 upper if AR. I have both. They both shoot. If I did competition Id build ccx a bolt gun on a custom action.

If 10/22s can shoot like that, then that’s a win I’d say.
My Walther GSP Carbine (which starts off as an Olympic level target pistol) doesn’t shoot any better than that.

Kidd barrel on one of them $199 stock 10/22

So... Is that 'normal', expected accuracy from a 10/22 built up with Kidd (or Volquartsen?) parts & barrel, or is that exceptional?

How much difference is there in accuracy and/or function of a 10/22 built around a factory receiver, a Kidd Classic and a Kidd Supergrade - assuming the same barrel and internal bits are utilized?

Are the AR uppers generally capable of running at that level?

The one Cathy has got to where it would jam all the time. After some research I found a match chamber and stock extractor some times doesn't work so I got a Kidd or Powers custom extractor and it has been 100% ever since.

In less you only shoot over wind flags and are lot testing your ammo I personally don’t think you gain much accuracy from an aftermarket receiver. That said it won’t hurt it either.
Kidd makes a good barrel especially for the price. I know they’re lapped but don’t know how in depth he goes as far as slugging them and crowning at tightest spot etc. Even if you build a barrel from a quality blank there’s still a lot to do to make it shoot to its full potential. These rimfires are a whole different game(especially 10/22’s)
There are a lot of little things that add up that you have to do to make a 10/22 shoot very well. I think a good barrel and bedding are the two biggest gains. Then the little things like tuning mags, bolt springs, hammer springs, FP shape and protrusion, and the list goes on.

Heres what I did with my three 10/22s.
Kidd barrel
New ruger BX trigger works fine for me.
Kidd extractor
Kidd buffer stop
Kidd action spring
Magpul hunter stock on one
Hogue stocks on two of them
No need to bed the stocks
Drilled cleaning hole in rear of action
Changed bolt handle. Not necessary but looks better
Put on extended mag release. Not necessary but works better
That’s it and it all works for me as the above targets show.

They do. It may not be a semi-auto but a CZ457 is about as good as it gets till you get an Anschutz.

I have a 452 American, and a 455 varmint. I am sure you will be happy with any of CZs products. I shot with a guy at the range a couple of weeks ago that was shooting a VooDoo and testing ammo. He had tested some pricey match ammo and was producing his best groups with Federal Auto match. Who wouda thunk? Now Garandad can correct my spelling. Two birds with one post.

The Supergrade has longer barrel tenon than slip fit.
