Most accurate 22 semi auto out to 100 yds?

10-22 or clones, with any number of aftermarket match or target barrels. I've head good things about lilja pretty consistently, kidd makes an outstanding barrel at a lower price point, and I actually purchased a hand lapped barrel off a forum member on here zeke06 I've only had it out a few times, but so far thoroughly impressed with the quality of work and accuracy. That being said there are other barrels out their I'm sure that will shoot lights out, the above e are the only ones I've had experience with or have consistently heard about. I believe the barrel is the most worthwhile place to start but more likely than not, you'll fall into the rabbit hole of parts like a majority of us.

My vote is actually for a tcr22 with a quality aftermarket barrel and fully bedded action. To start competing

Never have considered competition but, a stock Ruger 10/22 seems to do a pretty good for an off the shelf rifle. Minute of ground squirrel with the proper ammo can be achieved without too much trouble. And the fun part?
Shooting till you find the best ammo for your rig.
Got a couple of 10/22s that I've converted into bench guns by adding a straight pipe, bench rest style thumb hole stock and under lever type mag release. Just havn't gotten to the range yet.:(;)

A quality dedicated 22lr upper will outshoot and be more trouble free dollar for dollar than any 10/22 ever will be.
No bedding, more solid barrel attachment, FF handguard.
John Scandale and John Sylvester were using Keystone accuracy Match Rifle Uppers a while back and holding their own in 50 and 100yd prone matches. I myself built one with a GM barrel I chambered that I shoot master scores with.
Check out offerings from Keystone and Compass Lake, hell even the factory CMMG uppers are pretty dang good.

The ones that received rave reviews were Kidd’s 10-22 ,Joe Chacon and those are at the top but very pricey as you would expect for a competition rifle. Otherwise I would look at some of the old ones,Winchester’s and Remington ‘s for general shooting. The first ones mentioned will be in the $1000 plus range.

Sorry Donny my last reply was to Mongo. The OP has asked about a semi auto , but in second post mentions a CZ457 that is a bolt action?
