More pdogs

Woke up in one of the pdog towns today as I spent the night sleeping out there.
Hope the vids come out since they were taken with my dinky laptop.
Winds were not in my favor since the breeze was no less than 9mph to
31, which made for many hold into the wind shots. Left at 10 am due to the non stop blowing. Just a tad over 300 from 6-11am.
I need to get those loaded back up asap!

looks like rain...........hahaha......

our 99* hot spell slowed our doggin' down..........that & the knats.........

Wait a minute.

You "SLEPT out there"... ???

Heard of hard core. Still might not be surprised to look in one ear and see out the other. They are prairie dogs, right?

Cannot get any of the videos to work but it's my loss. Do remember my last day out of Medicine Bow we had hideous winds actually 90 degrees to my shooting. Also broke my laser. No matter. Did over 130 that morning by 10:30 and stopped with a smile. Hold-offs were about a MOA to two out to about 400 yards. Violent results as usual from my 22-250 AI and those Berger 77 gr. bullets. The wind was steady and it only took a few misses to learn the MOA hold off with my mil dot reticle and score, score, score.

Slept out there, eh! You just might be 'da man?

Got them working now. Little "pop" and look for dust. Kind of anti-climatic, unless you were the target.

Starting the reloading process now. Only have a year to get it all done.

I live on the other end of the state from 5-speed. My reloading never ends.. Cleaned out two pastures up at my sis's ranch today..

Wow 300 in 5 hours, that's quit a feat for prairie dogs. 1 a minute.
Not uncommon for a repeater to get 3-4 in a minute. But I have never timed it.. Reloading the magazine takes the most time.. Sometimes I feed em one at a time as it's too slow to stop and refill a mag.. Just set an open box of 50 next to me..

Would you mind giving me the 411 on where there is P-dogs in NV?
Have lived here for 45+yrs and travel and hunted the whole state, border to border, and NEVER seen a True P-dog.

Being a hunter/trapper, I am sure I would have found them.
We have LOTS of Pop Guts (squirrels) and Rock Chucks, but NO P-dogs,
that I know of.

Tia,
Don

Utah and Nevada have tons.. California too I hear

If I knew I'd tell ya.. I am assuming that they are there.. I recall seeing some over in the Wells/Wendover area at one time.. But since Nevada is way too far for me to go to shoot em I have no definite locations.. You know what they say about assuming. Assuming makes an ass outa you and me.. Especially me in this case.

And you are correct on the
true Pdawg thing. Just about all I shoot are large ground squirrels, or Richards ground squirrells.. I just call em all gophers any more..
