"Who is going to build this new action?"

IDK, but who is building the Stiller actions?

Stiller builds all of his actions in house, but his bolts come from PT&G,Dave Kiff).

For details on Stiller actions go to:

I talked to Jerry yesterday and he was positive on the idea of a group buy. However,

1. If the signup period ran into March, delivery would be "at least 4 months later", meaning mid-summer.

2. Jerry would like to do stainless actions only. He doesn't plan to run Vipers or other aluminum actions until summer.

3. To get a group buy discount, Jerry wants a minimum of thirty,30) actions, and someone else has to handle taking orders and deposits. Jerry wants to ship all the ordered actions to one organizing party, who, presumably would have an FFL.

This would require quite a lot of organizing effort. Any volunteers?

I certainly hope someone with an FFL steps up as I would be willing to order one of the Stiller SS actions. This would be great for us all.

I'm very interested.

Might want to clarify the restrictions on Stainless versus Viper/Aluminum as there are multiple stainless actions including a Stainless Viper.

I think a group buy for actions is a terrific idea. I also think Stiller was a perfect choice.
Whether it is stainless or aluminum Let me know when and where to sign up.

I too hope that this happens...I would think that this forum would certainly make the minimum to make it worthwhile for someone with an FFL to receive them for us. I will monitor this thread closely in the coming weeks....

Spotcheckbilly gave you the straight scoop Jerry Stiller builds his own actions and they are works of art.He isn't making 111 cookies he is making 111 custom actions on top of his regular orders that need to be filled as well.I think the Moderator posted he is swamped and I believe the Moderator.
Dave Kiff makes the bolts for a whole bunch of the custom action makers and he is usually at The Shot Show so stop in and check out his products. His brochure doesn't come close to listing everything he makes.
There are alot of Remington style clones out there for $800.

Lynn,
I am quite aware of what Pacific Tool & Gauge does, and what all they offer.

Stiller actions are works of art??? As you said, there are a lot of Remington clones, what makes his a work of art? Jerry Stiller has not delivered the last order, group buy) and is still a month or two out,who knows really) on completing that order. Would it not be wise to let him finish his prior obligations before throwing another one at him. The mod is correct, I imagine he is up to his eyeballs. Of all those Remington clone actions that are out there for $800, can you tell me who has one in stock ready to ship?

Spotcheck_Billy,
Does Stiller Broach or EDM his own actions there in house?

Not all of his bolts come from Dave.

Our hide delivery date was to be December and has now slid to April. I wouldn't expect to do anything with stiller for a while. A bunch of us have already bought other actions to get us through this season.

During the Shot Show, I think the daily bulletin featured and interview with the original founder of Nesika who was getting a new company started in Montana. I think it was called Phoenix Precision. I did an internet search on this name but nothing came up. If knowlegable people could verify the quality, this might be just what a new business is looking for.

What your referring to is Phoenix Machine Technologies, yes the original founder of Nesika is starting it up. They have not produced a single action as yet though, according to the video. The old Nesika's did have a following by some of the BR crowd.
