model 7 in a 700 stock

Will a rem model 7 fit in a hs precision stock inletted for a 700 short action?

You will have to buy the stock for the model 7 action. If you have a model 7 action and decide not to use it and sell it let me know. I may be interested in it.

It's a little more than that. The center to center on the action screws is different, the bottom metal is different. It's just not a little shorter, its different. Can you do it, sure, hog out the entire middle of your stock, start from the recoil lug and work back, glue something in the middle, re-inlet for the magazine. Drill new action screw holes and re-inlet the bottom metal, refinish and your done. Seriously, sell the 700 HS, big demand for that stock, and buy one for the Mdl 7. No use turning your nice 700 SA stock into a piece of junk.
