Mobile Tool Storage?

Any of you mobile with your gunsmithing tools? I work part time for a shop and am debating on best way to bring my tools to and from. Also would double as taking to the range and matches, etc.

I am leaning toward the modular stacking tool boxes on wheels like the Husky Connect system.

Curious if any others have a similar need and what works for you. Thanks

I’m not looking for tool cart to just move around my shop. I’m looking for best way to move tools from one shop to another and to the range. No way I’m moving one of those to the range or the other shop and back and forth.

I'd check out the "stackables" at the big box home stores.
A large base chest with rollers and smal!er multifunctional tool/storage boxes that stack on top- modular. Its how a lot of guys in the trades get their tools from the truck onto the jobsite.

The Milwaukee's aren't inexpensive- but they're really well built. Ball bearing slides on the toolboxes...
Toolboxes could function as your Kennedy for reamers, etc. Small parts boxes for screws, etc.
Like you said, the modularity is a big plus in that you just load up what you think you'll need for range or shop.

What about something like this. Not sure what you have equivalent over there but probably Stanley or snap on

Stackable kits you can only access 1 layer at a time so you end up needing a lot of surface area to get to the tools you want. I've had the above loaded with general tools and it's just manageable to lift by myself. They are lockable, have good handles that can be chained down to a vehicle and you can always buy more than one of you need.

Milwaukee looks to be running one hell of sale on some sets from their factory outlet... under $100, no tax or shipping.
I think I might get one, too good a deal to pass up even though I don't really "need" it.

Then add one or two of the tool boxes.

This appears to be a screaming-ass deal. A lot of the stuff on there seems uber cheap like the cordless combos. Hopefully when it gets here it doesn't say "Milkwalkee" or something on the side.

Edit... AmEx just sent a text like they normally do when I buy something online. This might be a scam. The merchant is "FUN TIMES CHILDCARE MINISTRY"

There's the authorized, legitimate Milwaukee Tools website:

And then there's the "MilwaukeTools-usa" website your link (above) has:

Hard to imagine that Milwaukee Tools would deliberately misspell their own company's name. I'd strongly suspect it as a phishing/fraudulent website, unless the link actually came off the legit corporate website directly. Caution. JMO.

Wowza...

All of the fake sites I've come across recently- usually for reloading supplies these days- become apparent when you get to the payment page, where it's electronic transfer only (yeah, right) and no credit cards accepted.

I'm sure it's a scam because there's no physical address nor telephone contact. Credit cards must be just to steal the info.

When i go thru phishing training (like once a month since im tapped into critical infrastructure) one of the first things they warn about is misspelled names. Milwaukee didnt misspell their own name but thats easy to miss on that scam site
