Mitutoyo tool sale

Penn tool company is having their annual sale on MIT measuring tools, specifically their 6” digimatic calipers abd 0-1” digital mics. Prices are 119 and 129 respectively. More importantly Penn tool is an authorized Mitutoyo dealer so you will actually get Mits as opposed to the counterfeit lottery on amazon

. . . so you will actually get Mits as opposed to the counterfeit lottery on amazon
This is true, but. . . if you order from Amazon (or eBay) and get a counterfeit, you can write a nastygram, report it as counterfeit, leave nasty feedback, get your money back, and keep it.

Mid-grade Chinesium calipers are great for duty you wouldn't put a nice tool through, and you get to bleed the counterfeiting Commies at the same time. It's like skewering fish in a barrel!

Sounds like fun! As long as getting the $$ back doesn't assume a life of its own.

Real Mit is always a excellent buy . I've had my digital 1" since 73-74 and still as accurate as the day I got them . The 6" dial calipers were
"accurized" by Q.C. , when I was still in the shop , and I checked them with a standard from from 0 - 6" O.D. Mic set the other day . Good to go . You can buy more expensive , but I don't think you can buy any better quality .

Mit top quality.

But I've found IGaging to be a better value for the kind of measuring tools I need-- ones that don't the privilege of living in a nice clean measurement lab. Very happy with my iGaging tools.

I really like the only Mitutoyo I own and wouldn't get rid of it. However, my iGaging micrometer gives me the same readings as my Mitutoyo.

Thanks for that info. I really like my Starrett Dial Calipers, but Im tired of having to take them apart and fix them often when they "jump the track". So been thinking about some Mit digitals. ill check them out.

i have returned other stuff I got through Amazon. Its pretty simple and painless. Returns to them are just a normal part of business --they need to treat people right to coierce them to buy online.

I have good high dollar mics and indicators from doing this stuff for a living. I picked up a couple digital calipers at Grizzly last year for 17.95. I have been absolutely amazed that they are working like a caliper should. My experience with high dollar electronic ones has been an average 3 years of good use before they become unreliable. Couple of years to go, but they were ONLY 17.95.
