Mississippi Tornadoes

While perhaps due to other things, the nearby National Weather Service in Jackson, MS, went "off the air" about midnight last night. Not reporting data since then ... at least, not onto their NWS website (for the Jackson / Hawkins Field area).

Though, their Twitter remarks kept going ...

I live about 35 miles from Rolling Fork,Ms where the worst damage is and it looks like a bomb was dropped on the entire city!! Praying for those affected! So far 25 were killed including a small child and her father!! So heartbreaking!!

Tornado alley down here for sure, and it doesnt matter what season it is either. The only safe time of year is when its 85 degrees at 6 AM with a high of 95 at 1 PM. Guess what it is then????? Hurricane season! Prayers for everyone across the Great State of Mississippi that were affected by Friday's tornadic activity.
