We all can get so focused on our own personal shooting and forget about the sport's general health. If you dont have anyone to shoot against its not as much fun.

I got my answer from Mr. Wheeler in a response to a PM, and thankfully it wasn't my post that caused it to be deleted.
I wasn't online when the thread turned uncivil so I missed it. For the life of me I don't understand why people have to get into a peeing contest on line, I am getting too old to argue and life is too short, there are better things to do.

Last time I posted, I was talking about me starting out with my woodchuck rifle with a new barrel. And I didn't care who I went up against! And I never worry about the prize table, It's about the fun you have with the other shooters and sharing Ideas.

How to attract shooters to regular scheduled matches

Joe hit the nail on the head, meeting new people with the same interests, making new friends and visiting old ones, bettering yourself while competing against others. That's what drives me. I go for the fun, the day it's no longer fun I'll find something else to do that is.

When you begin to compete for money and big prizes, pay big entry fees a lot of guys start bickering, get mad because this guy did this and that guy did that. At least that's my take on it

I ilke big prize matches, and have faired out well in a few, also have come home with nothing more than a t-shit or a bottle of solvent, but, I had just as much fun with a big reward as I did with a t-shit. It's the guys I got to meet and see that I haven't seen for a long time.

Gunner I actually had one 3/4 typed and then deleted it. Started thinking if a few simple suggestions on how to improve attendance at matches caused a melt down on a few imagine what a whole post would do to some.
