MIND OF AN 18 YO GRANDAUGHTER

The middle son took my grandaughter (Tara) to the bass pro shops museum this past weekend for a daughter and dad get away.
As they got to the antler exhibit Tara ask,how do they know what the number is in their score?
Dad--It is scored on a scale called the Boone and Crockett.
Tara--about 5 minutes later,I don't know who Boone and Crockett are but they killed a lot of really big and cool deer.
Dad laughed his butt off all the way out the door.
When told to me,I had to go change shorts.

Yes it was the Springfield store.They must have added a lot of attractions since I was there last.I think it has been about 25 years .

Daniel Crockett and David Boone were the founders of a hunt club who first devised a method of measuring and judging big game animals based upon horn/antler dimensions, as opposed to simple body weight.

Before these men's system was implemented, it is a sad fact that many of the largest game animals ever killed were never judged, simply because of the difficulty of transporting the bodies to certified scales. You can spend a whole day looking at the museums and aquariums. The restaurant is good too.
