Bass Pro shops (and maybe soon Cabelas) MasterCard is issued by bank of America.....at least mine is....wonder how 2 companies that income depends a large part on gun owners money will feel when that info makes the news ? Come Monday I might see if I can reach corporate and see if they plan to change that.....if not, might have to cancel this one....rsbhunter

actually cabela's ran their own bank till they were sold.
the current provider for cabela's is not bofa.

The Cabelas credit card program was pure marketing genius, and from what I understand the main reason Bass Pro sought a buyout.

BTW: I seem to remember hearing that the buyout was in trouble. Did it actually go through?

Yes bass pro’s corp people bought cabelas last year

I guess what frosts my butt is the antis get tv time, banks pull out, millions of gun owners can't, don't or won't, get a voice.....and as a sad truth, most are to apathetic to cancel credit cards, or boycott a company that goes against one of their rights....I have spent alot of money with Cabelas, some with Bass Pro.....but I can get what I need from other sources, and will depending on their position in the future...... as an edit, I can't support Cabelas , if my money still goes into Bass Pro's pockets..Rsbhunter

Pass pro didn't get this big by being stupid, they are all over this. Many years ago I banked at BOA cause they bought the bank I used. About twice going into that house of insanity and I had a new bank.

I’ve had a Cabelas Visa card since 2007. Few weeks ago it acted up saying chip malfunction. Called customer service and guy with very heavy India accent answered the phone. I haven’t called Cabelas customer service many times but always spoke to an English speaking person. I wonder if Bass Pro used India and they switched Cabelas customer service to India ?

Haven't had to call recently, but wouldn't surprise me. Same year I got mine, I would think they (BassPro) might be interested to know that we are aware of the situation with their credit card !!!! I have both cards, and I would hate leaving Cabelas, but getting older, the saying "I'd rather die on my feet, than live on my knees" holds alot of meaning.....rsbhunter

Cabellas has always had a strong brand name inventory. There high prices keep them from being a larger success. Bass Pro is eaten up with Chinese goods manufactured just for them. I have absolutely no use for them.
