Midwestern F-Class Shooters! Here is the 2014 Schedule including ND Matches

Hi Shooters,
I know everyone is busy. Family obligations, work, other hobbies all take their toll and interfere with shooting. Here is your chance to mark the 2014 calendar up with these important match dates before your better half does.

April 12-13, 2014: Elk River Sportsman's Club will host the Annual Wind Clinic/F-Class/MRP Warm-Up match on Saturday, NRA Approved 80 shots at 600 yds on Sunday (F-class and sling)

May 24, 2014: The Forks Rifle Club in Grand Forks, ND will host their annual Ice Breaker Match. 60 shots at 600 yards (F-class)

June 7-8, 2014: Gopher Rifle and Revolver Club in Harris will host the MN Long Range NRA Regional (F-class and sling)

June 21-22, 2014: Elk River Sportsman's Club will host the MN Mid-Range NRA Regional (F-class and sling)

July 12-13,2014: Gopher Rifle and Revolver Club in Harris will host the MN Long Range State Championship (F-class and sling)

July 26-27, 2014: Elk River Sportsman's Club will host the Midwestern F-Class Championship Match. While not an NRA approved match, this match has great prizes, trophies bigger than NASCAR, and high payback.

August 23-24, 2014: Elk River Sportsman's Club will host the MN Mid-Range F-Class Team and Individual State Championship.

October 4-5, 2014: Gopher Rifle and Revolver Club in Harris will host a Long Range Fullbore and Palma Match.

October 11, 2014: The Forks Rifle Club in Grand Forks, ND will host their annual Frosty Barrel Match. 60 shots at 600 yards (F-class)


I will post match bulletins as they become available. Please be aware that some of these matches will have limited space. It is very important to pre-register by calling the match director and reserving a spot.

2014 will be a great year for shooting!

Awesome Scott.. Especially the wind clinic dates.. I have just gotten some detail dates for next yr and am scheduled gone the last two weeks in April. Planning to be there, already....

With the 6" of snow that fell overnight, I think we all need to start wishing for 80* days with a light but switching wind and a consistent mirage for all the days we shoot in 2014. Make sure you start building up credits so you can makew every match!

I'm not as far as Rod, but I'm already going to be talking with the boss about getting out of honey do's so I can get to 2-3 of the matches at ERSC this spring/summer

Scott your wind clinic is a great way to get the ball rolling in the spring. I also think it is a excellent option if a match is rained out of delayed. I would be interested in trading notes with you on your class agenda.

Is there a cap on amount of people that can attend the 12 and 13 clinic? I would really like to attend that even. Very new to the sport and any information would be greatly appreciated. I think that would be very beneficial.

Randy, usually, turnout is about 40-50 for the clinic, a few less for the shooting. The building will hold over 100.

There's plenty of room for you, and I highly encourage anybody interested in High-Power or F-Class shooting to attend.

Awesome info! I'm new to F class but will definitely be participating in some of these events. I'm very close to GRRC, are there any leagues for non members? Either Harris or elk river?

Elk River has an F-Class league. We shoot every Monday night. This league is open to non-members. However, we do have a mandatory pre-season orientation for those who haven't shot with us before (due to our locale, we are very very serious about our range rules).

In the past, Harris has had an informal Thursday night league. I'm not a member there so I don't know if they're doing that this year, or what the particulars are. Forum member 'wwbrown' would likely know.

Come to the wind clinic, and ask around. We'll hook you up.

I know i am off the subject a little and not trying to highjack this forum but i am building a house in southern iowa and i can't find a place to shoot long range there was a 1000yd range in pella iowa but it shut down would be willing to drive to northern mo, if i have to. it don't have to be 1000yd range but at least 600yds would be nice any info would be good thanks bob koch

There are 2 ranges in Northern Missouri. Spickard and Downing MO. PM sent.
