Midwest F-Class Championship July 12th @ St. Louis Benchrest Club

The 2nd annual Midwest F-Class Championship will be held Thursday, July 12th at St. Louis Benchrest Club in Wright City. This **non-sanctioned** event will consist of four classes, each competing for very nice crystal trophies. F-T/R, F-Open, Bench T/R, and Bench -Open shooters will shoot 3 matches of 20 rounds for a total of 60 rounds for score. Match 1 will have unlimited sighters, while matches 2 and 3 will have 2 sighters.

If you haven't made it to St. Louis Benchrest Club, this will be a great opportunity to experience the hospitality and laid back atmosphere at a world class facility.

The match will start at 8:30am. Match fees are $40 and include lunch.

Come join us for a great match!

I have had a couple of questions about the club and location. This is the club's website, and this is a pdf with travel plans. I hope to see several of you at the match. If you are planning to shoot, please post in this thread and let me know. We are expecting a large turnout and it should be a great time!

Thanks,

Ryan

We have a very sweet lady that prepares our lunch, the word is she is going all out with a BBQ chicken meal !!!

Took the day off, especially with the news of the BBQ Chicken! Seriously...Those who are debating whether or not to go to this match should go. the club and layout are excellent, it is a great group of shooters, tough competition (especially lmmike) and the matches are very well run. See you all there!

Had an opportunity to go earlier this year to their midrange state championship. If you can go, do it. Great place and the friendliest people on the planet., a real great bunch to shoot with.

tough competition (especially lmmike)

Now wait a minute, I hope you new shooters got your notebook out! A highmaster just gave a lesson. You have to beat Mr Petros to win the open class. We had 3 new winners at the last match, I find that very exciting. I hope you can come compete with us, that's what it's all about!!!

Just to let you know, we shoot from the shade of the pavilion and have a tin cover on the pit. We decided to go with 3 relays of 20 shots to get finished early. July is not the best month in missouri so we should be all done by 3pm or sooner. Get there early we need a 8:30 start.

I hope everyone had a great Independence Day! We have a NRA Mid-range 88 round match at the club this Sunday the 8th, followed by the Midwest Championship on the Thursday the 12th. I hope to see you there.

Is the Mid-range 88 round match an F-class match as well? I cant make a Thursday match, but I would like to shoot at this range. If 88 rounds, 4 relays of 20 with 2 sighters each? Starting at 8am?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, the match is a High-Power/F-Class match with 4x20+2 sighters. Try to get there by 7:30. It will be hot, so we will try to get started early.

Great time and good match. Loved the battle with you LMMIKE! Thursday will be a rematch I guess! See you all there!

Pete's 200-13X deserves a mention. I was pulling his target and the spotting disc suffered a terrible 10 minutes.

The Thursday Midwest Championship should be a great one! The weather is supposed to cool off a bit.

Hey Pete, congratulations! That's some amazing shooting. Tell us!!! Who's reloading gear are you using?

Look forward to seeing you around Camp Perry time. I hear you'll be passing through.

Brett

I will be passing through on the way to Camp Perry. I thought you were going as well? I have been neck turning, priming, prepping etc with 21st Century Products. In addition, I have been shooting off of 21st's rock solid rest!

Pete

Peter I'm going to have to get out my secret weapon for this match. That's right I'm bringing my 16 yr old boy. If he beats both of us I'll never hear the end of it.

That would be great! Haven't shot against him, but it sounds that he is very talented. See you all Thurs.

It's time to load up the gear and shoot our big match for the year. We put up extra flags for this one. Should see some good shooting tomorrow for those crystal cups. Come spend the day with us!!
