I am one of those "Joe Bubba" people you speak of that order silly things from Midway. Because I come from a small town and was born and raised on a farm, I guess I might fit in this category. However, I can shoot a sub-inch five-shot group at 500 yards, and have killed Varmints at over 700 yards. I can cypher and read too, as I have a Master's degree from a major college. I am happy being a "Joe Bubba."

Personally, I have been impressed with Midway. Been a customer for over 7 years and never had a problem.

*Shipping is cheap if YOU select the USPS option.
*Everything gets to me by USPS in under 3 days.,1/2 way across the ctry)
*Even ordered a pair of rings that sat around for 8 months waiting on my rifle to get built. They had no problem letting me return them after I received the rifle and changed my mind on the rings-- yeah no shit!

Alot of times people dont voice their problems and just let em simmer. "The squeaky wheel gets the grease."

The USPS option is only cheap if you buy light weight items. I just added 1000 Sierra 107 Matchkings to my shopping cart and the USPS option was $5.00 more then UPS. Now if they did the flat rate boxes I'd agree, but they don't.

I like Midsouth's prices but they lack a lot of items.

Personally i have had nothing but the best service from Midway! on the rare occasions i had a problem they were more than accommodating in talking care of it. Sinclair the same way simply outstanding to deal with.

I've never had a reason to complain about Midway's service, it was alway good to me. But, in the last few years, I've started shopping around at all the websites when I'm looking to place an order for shooting related items. I'll even tabulate it on their order forms and compare prices for myself. Midway's not even close anymore. Every now and then they will have something on sale that I can't refuse, but not very often.

tightneck, it does seem like everytime I check their prices anymore, I always find it cheaper some place else. As far as service is concerned I have been happy with that. Bill
