Good luck with that phone call---phones were offline last time I called. Sent email and got canned response that did not address my question whatsoever. I cannot do bus. with an entity that i cannot talk to a rep. directly...rant over
I am not a big supporter of Midways USA but I do read all the banners which are now found at the top of every firearms related website before I place an order. I have stopped placing orders where they call for accepting
4 days to 6 weeks delay in delivery time. Some operations state only short delays of a few days which I will order from. From Midway:
Important message regarding estimated delivery dates and communications with MidwayUSA
Because of the COVID-19 Pandemic, internet commerce is at an all-time high, creating unprecedented levels of MidwayUSA orders and residential deliveries for our package delivery partners. This is creating some challenges which are keeping us from serving Customers the way we want and you deserve. For this, we are truly sorry.
- While we've projected estimated delivery dates as accurately as possible, please note there may be delays from our package delivery partners as they're experiencing large volumes and Employee shortages. If your order takes longer than expected, we’re very sorry and appreciate your patience in allowing a few extra days before contacting us.
- We're hiring as fast as we can and doing our best to respond to Customers as quickly as possible, but our incoming communications exceed our capacity. Regrettably, we’ve had to temporarily stop taking phone calls, and even web chats at times, and still can't process all our communications fast enough. We’re several days behind in answering emails, and experiencing long wait times when web chat is enabled. We have all available Employees, regardless of their position in the company, helping ship packages and respond to Customers. Rest assured, you will get your order and we'll respond to your communications as fast as we can. We’re working on resuming phone calls and web chats as soon as possible.
We're very sorry for the package delays and communication issues. Thanks so much for your patience, understanding and loyalty.

Many of the banners I've read ask you NOT to call or even e-mail because it ties up personnel who could be helping with packaging and shipping.
The last order I made from Midway 3 weeks ago, they stated that the products were in stock and would ship the next day via UPS (no free shipping for me). I got the shipping notice early AM the next day and received the order 4 days later. I was relieved since I had read all the horror stories so prevalent on the internet these days.

I can't imagine ordering products and being expected to wait weeks or months to receive them, even if my card wasn't charged right away. There just isn't anything I need that bad.
I also can't imagine a small company hiring and staffing up for a short term explosion of demand from the firearms industry. If you've never actually run a small business you won't understand. Most of us small folks will work longer hours or even weekends to avoid the hassle of staffing up. This applies mostly to those small businesses, not the massive warehouse distributors and chain stores.
In the long run though, you have to decide what is most important to your supply needs. The wait for shipping to catch up, backordering to get what you think you have to have without fail, or simply deciding to wait for the meltdown to subside.

Best of luck however you decide!
