Midway and Cleaning Rods

Bough a couple of new Pro Shot stainless rods from Midway. They shipped
in a regular long cardboard box. They were bent. Sent them back. Just
received the replacements and they were bent worse! Talked to
Customer Service rep and she said that's they way they ship them now.
Bought probably 6 or 7 sets over the past 15 years and they were always
shipped in a round hard shipping tube. Anybody else have this happen?

I ordered pro shot cleaning rods from Amazon a while back and same thing, just put in a cardboard box and were bent during shipping. Had to return them 3x before I finally got undamaged rods.

I had it happen recently .Mine was a long 20 cal. Dewey coated rod,box was damaged badly but the rod was OK . Damage was in the middle of the box,I guess it flexed enough to escape damage.

I just received a new Bore Tech cleaning rod from Midway last week. It was shipped in a hard cardboard tube inside a square cardboard box with a few other small items I ordered. All arrived undamaged and in good shape.

I’ve had problems with Midway shipping in the past. Those little bubble mailers they use for smaller items are crap.

They used to be one of my go to places, but I seldom buy from them anymore because of this.

Exactly how mine were shipped a few months ago.

eff BPS 5.00 more a lb of powder than LGS everything I see is over priced

That's a good point. Midway is high on prices too.

Unfortunately, my LGS doesn't usually carry what I need and I've tired of trying to get them to order stuff for me. They aren't very responsive. They'll write down the items I want, tell me they'll order it and then I never hear from them again. Hell of a way to do business. I'm purposely trying to buy local and these idiots don't get the concept.

You are lucky if you have a good local place to shop.

Damn...I'm busy on this board this morning. Too much coffee! Probably ought to get off my butt and actually do something constructive.

Packaging from midway is a crap shoot...I use them, but cross my fingers every time...They do have great customer service...Mike in Ct

Yes on crapshoot, no on customer service. They will not answer an email from me. I have to call if I need CS. Brownells much better as far as returns. Automated system from order log. I've sent stuff back 5 years old that I never used and got full refund.
