That sure was a great sale Midsouth Shooters had to close out the year. I couldn't believe the Lot boxes of Norma 6BR and 6PPC brass at 54% off. All kinds of gun, shooting, and reloading accessories like select bushings and dies way below half off.

I picked up some new Redding bushings at crazy prices.

There is a reason why they sold that Norma 6PPC and 6BR brass so cheap. I would never use it and neither does anybody else that I shoot against use it. It flat out doesn't stand up like the Lapua stuff.

True, and you get what you pay for. But if you don't compete, that Norma isn't a bad second compared to some other popular brands on the market.

Well when the primer pockets are enlarged enough so that you can push a primer
in with your thumb after 2 firings, I don't call that economical whether your competing or not.

There are certain Norma cases that hold up great especially in hunting calibers. I shot 416 Rigby and 460 WBY a lot. That brass would hold up great. Wouldn't use anything but Norma or Bell brass for those 2 calibers. Same with the 300 WBY mag. But in 6PPC or 6BR, they suck big time.

Never had a rifle in 7RM so I can't tell you how well Norma brass stands up in that caliber.

Not sure about other calibers, but I use Norma in my 7mm and so far its done well, about 2-3 rounds through them.

Unfortunately Midsouth did not run the Norma brass to the end of the clearance sale...on Saturday morning the 31st(the last day of the clearance) I was putting some final last minute things in my cart...I had the Norma 22ppc brass in the cart from the day before...with over 16hrs left in this clearance sale they pulled the norma brass from clearance and put it back to regular price...it didn't go "out of stock"...they pulled it from clearance, still in stock and back at regular price. I emailed them about pulling this early and the response was..."the norma brass wasn't really on clearance but they were just reducing inventory on it and when they met the inventory level they wanted for 2017, they pulled it"...the brass was clearly advertised as EOYC(End of year clearance) and not inventory reduction...so therefore how can you pull it from a clearance sale early and still keep it in stock? I have been a Midsouth customer for decades and yes, this kind of "butt hurt" me(I was only wanting to buy 500 pieces, but it is more the principle of it)...I see this as being very disingenuous. I wondered how long it would be before they went the route of so many other vendors...but it is what it is. I just dumped the rest of the items from my cart with them, moved on and purchased from another vendor. Sorry for the rant.

I had items in my cart that upon checkout showed out of stock too. The sale on ammo and the other things I picked up made the butt hurt not so bad. I guess ya snooze ya lose.

yotehater, I understand waiting until the last minute and the item(s) going out of stock...you snooze you loose, but just to clarify...the 100 count 22ppc brass did NOT go out of stock...they just simply pulled it off the clearance with over 16hrs left to go and put it back to its original price. You can go on their website right now and the 100 count 22ppc norma brass is in stock...so it wasn't a matter of me waiting until the last minute and it getting sold out...they just plain took it off clearance with 16hrs left on Saturday the 31st with it still being IN STOCK. The quoted email response above from them about this is exactly what they said...they needed to keep some for 2017 inventory. My shopping cart still had it in there and In Stock, but the EOYC price was gone...back to full price on Saturday morning at 8am on the 31st...that's my butt hurt over the whole deal, but it is what it is. Like I said, I just ordered the items I wanted elsewhere.
