mercury recoil suppressor install

should it be in the center of the but
or should you put it as far up in stock so its more inline with recoil

I installed one in the forearm of a Kimber lightweight 325 WSM. I am not sure it really matters where it is installed as long as it is more or less inline with the barrel/recoil direction. Definitely worked wonders on that rifle. Where do you want the extra weight to be?

this gun is for benchrest
was wondering if placement would change how it recoils on the bags
higher in butt-stock more inline with recoil less muzzel rump ? ride the bags better?
