Ups man came through today and made my day. I was all set on buying a Zeiss conquest until I started watching some reviews and I fell for the Mrad1 reticle. This little Czech scope is about to get mounted on a Czech rifle.

For anyone considering this scope, beware. The power adjustment ring is huge and I ended up having clearance problems with the bolt handle. It would have been wise for me to check that before I lapped a brand new set of Leupold rings.
I ordered up a 0 moa rail and a set of rings from egw. Hopefully my next attempt yields better results.

So how’s the scope working out?

I bought one last year. I own three now, these scopes punch much higher than their price point. Tracking has been perfect, glass is good, the only thing I would add or change is some kind of an indicator to tell you what revolution the turret is on. Nothing a sharpie can’t help with.

I own 3 of the Meopta scopes. I did end up selling the 5-30 because I hated the first focal plane. Still have the other 2 in second focal plane and love them. If they would make a higher power (42 or 50) with their ED glass they would be a hard competitor against Nightforce.

Agree, Meopta glass is tough to beat at any price point. $ for $ you absolutely get more value than other options. I have 4 of the Optika6's and 1 Optika5 with another on backorder for a 10/22. I couldn't be happier and dialing in my drops using Strelok Pro is a snap.

Where do you compromise? Optic or mount?

Speaking in terms of hunting rifles, where would you find yourself compromising? Example: I acquired a new Winchester Model 70 Super Grade. I like to mount my scopes low. As low as the optic will allow preferably. For this rifle I selected a new Optika6 2.5-15 from Meopta. The glass is very...
