Meopta Optika 5-30 or Arken 7-35?

I bought an Arken for a rimfire project, for the money it's not bad. The glass in my cheapest Leupold is better.
When I was introduced to the Arken scopes I owned seven 8 X 25 X 50 LRP Leupold scopes. After comparing the Arken to those Leupolds I sold all of them and went to Arken with all my rilfes and do not regret it. ALL Arken scopes I have purchased and used are great for the price point and beyond. The 7 X 35 X 56 is definitely a great long range scope with fantastic glass. I have also owned Nightforce scopes in the past and found back then there was a lot of hype there as well.

Bill, did you compare Arken to Meopta or other EU brands like e.g. Steiner or Zeiss?

Thanks for posting it. I went there to sign up so that i could sign in, and i read the "terms of agreement" and i said hell no. So i guess his opinion will sit in limbo, for me anyways. But thanks for trying.

Pretty odd how some will bash Meopta, yet they use to build scopes for some big names out there.

This was quoted from BigJimFish`s review on snipers hide.
"The original Zeiss Conquest series of scopes were made by Meopta and continue to live on in Meopta’s lineup as the Meopta Meopro scopes."

I had about 4 of those Conquests that were made by Meopta and the glass on them was excellent, bright and clear. They gave me nothing to complain about.

-------------
I have a 6.5-20 Vortex Viper that did not impress me at all for the money
At 600 yds a Simmons 44 Mag scope is better
-------------
Hence, "FOR THE MONEY" why I say Arken is pretty darn good value
For .....The......Money
-------------
I know companies such as Vortex, Burris etc, have some scopes made in China, Some in the Phillipines while their Top Teir Scopes are made in Japan
-------------
One thing I must give it up to Meopta for is
They Make, Grind and Coat their own glass from the research I've done on them.
Which is likely why Zeiss used them
Also the Cabelas Euro Scope = Is Meopta
-------------
One scope that did impress the heck out of me for the money is the Nightforce SHV
if only they made a high enough magnification in Mil/Mil
