Meopta Meopro HD 80 20X-60X

Anyone buy and use one recently? Really, my only question is, does it remain crisp and clear at 55X and 60X?

All the recent reviews are super positive. Just thought I'd see if any of you are using one. Thanks!

This is the Meopro, not the S2.

I got one, and sent it back. Nice glass, but did not improve the image quality, at 40X, over my 12-40 HD Leupold. At 50 X it was good, but not outstanding...certainly not crystal clear. At 53X and above, image quality went downhill. I tested in nice conditions, in 10 degree weather. Clear skies.

I had the Leupold set up, both on tripods, within a foot of the Meopta...so I could switch from one to the other quickly. I'm certainly NOT a Leupold fan boy. But, over the years, without spending over $2,000, I haven't found anything WAY better.

So I ordered a Kowa TSN 773, and will see if I can get image clarity at 60X. By no means am I bashing Meopta, this is just my simple little review. If I could justify the expense, I think I would have bought a Meopta S2. They are VERY highly rated. The higher end Kowas are supposed to be very good, also. I will see.

clarity is a multi- function issue. your eyes, the weather, the distance, etc
i have an s2 and love it simple answer is buy the best you can afford...i am on my 5th or 6th, because i did not follow that rule. this is my last one. there are better but too old to worry .

I have several meopta optika 6. Ffp moa . i have leupold mk5 vx6 Nightforce and i will put the meopta up against any. Tracking on point glass is great and its rite at half the price. If you look you can catch them on sale under grand.

yes but, i aint a hunter, and look thru nightforce mainly..i do have a few other top end scopes.....your choice,, but with my eyes i will continue with these
