Members’ Offspring College Marksmanship Success

If you've been in here any time you will know Tzaun daughter is incredible. Every March I watch her I'm just amazed. She is currently on TCUs NCAA team, and I believe they will be the NCAA Nationals Champions this year. They continue to shoot 4750s team combined scores, which should be a head turner. My son is part of OSU Buckeyes team, and I'm proud to say he is a counter his first year out. He set a goal to have a perfect air score of 600 before he graduates. He came close in practice with a 596. That's a far cry from the kid you all helped a few short years ago. I believe OSU will make NCAA finals this year, so we could have a shooters forum family reunion. I only know of John and Kzaun, so if there are any other collegiate shooters associated with this site please speak up. I try to follow all of the ones I know, maybe send some luck their way, as long as they aren't against OSU. Shooting opened up an entirely new world for John. The small bullied farm kid is now a strapping good looking young man with a private pilots license, and a bright future, can't ask for more. He's on a flight to Alaska right now. You can go to MLLIVE to watch in real time Friday and Saturday, but it's kinda like watching paint dry. Still I'm addicted to watching dots. LOL.

Good luck to your son! Is he shooting in a competition in AK at UAF then? My son’s HS had a rifle team they disbanded a year or two before he went to HS, so he was upset he did t get to do that. We instead let him shoot trap and skeet, but it was not school oriented. Some girls on the team did get noticed and got scholarships to shoot at colleges for trap and skeet in the lower 48 though.

Sorry, lot going on here on the farm.

Yes John got to go on the Alaska trip, set a PB in SB, but he can go higher. They take it week by week on who travels so I don't know about Air Force. As you all know we didn't have much support in this area, so there have been a lot of rebalencing his guns, trying to get his gear to work with his body. Once that settles in I fully expect him to be an 1170 plus shooter. . Like I said this opened doors for him I've never imagined. Just because you son's school is a douch, find somewhere else for him to shoot. It's well worth the effort.
