Varget is one of the best benchmark powders IMO. It can be quite challenging to meter affectively. Furthermore seeing how the primary target market for this is high volume PRS shooters Varget is the clear choice for our benchmark seeing how the majority of them use Varget and 4350!That’s actually really good performance. With the new V4 fine tube overserts from MK Machining (during beta-testing) I was able to get sub 10sec avg throw times and 95+% success rate throwing a 45.5gn load of Varget. At best I was really only able to get about 7.5 sec avgs and that’s with the success rate down about 80%. So you have to figure that’s the V4, with additional “aftermarket” accessories added to enhance speed. So it’s sounding like “out of the box” (I know it’s still essentially in beta-testing) the Meehl Solutions system will likely be able to outperform the V4.
I love using Varget as a test powder too, because for one, it’s such a great powder and almost everyone has a load for it; but also it’s sort of a challenging extruded powder for dispensers to handle with its varying kernel sizes/shapes/weights. If I could get my SuperTrickler to run it great I’d probably have a bench full of those. But then again if I could fly I’d never have to walk or drive anywhere. There’s a significantly higher probability that the latter will actually happen.
