Medium & Long Range Firing Schools/Classes

Does any one know if there are Medium and/or Long Distance schools for shooters in F Class? I am referring to sessions like the SAFS at Camp Perry. I am a new F/TR shooter and may be able to benefit from such a school/class.

Thank You in advance for your thoughts and guidance.

1+ good question..I live in utah and would like to find a good long range shooting f-class type school close to utah ( would be willing to travel ~500 miles each way)..anybody know of any ? Danny

They hold a wind reading clinic right before the Berger SW Nationals every year in Phoenix. It covers basic equipment, ballistics, and wind reading among other things.

We have held a Wind Clinic/ F-class Clinic and Shoot at the Elk River Sportsman's Club in Elk River, MN just NW of Mpls for the last 4 years I believe. Huge hit with both the new and experienced shooters. The format I came up with is a morning clinic, then lunch, then an afternoon demonstration behind spotting scopes. Finally, we shoot a fun 2-man team match at 600 yards where you can test your new skills. The second day is an individual (4) 20 shot strings at 600 yards.

attached is the 2014 program.

This is a fantastic two day affair hosted by some great folks!! I have attended it, plan to again and highly encourage anyone to consider driving up for an awesome & informative time. But just plan on getting your butt kicked on the firing line by Effendude's wife, that girl can shoot!!!! You Go Lisa!!!!!

Thank you for the replys..will check into both places ( so far looks like the Elk river club may be more of what I,m looking for)..what I,m really looking for is a school that teaches me eveything from set-up, using rear bags, proper alinement, front rests / and or bi-pod..the basics before including wind reading (that would be a whole class alone), life time learning exp, lol..I,m a long time hunter, discovering long range shooting for the first time built a few longer range rifles (2) 6.5x47 L / (1) long throated 284 win.. now just need to learn the proper way to set-up..Danny

Thanks for the responses! I am going to plan on attending both of these clinics. Elk River is definitely closer but I can use all of the instruction I can get. Looking forward to meeting some of you at these events.
