Media polish

I'm running low on my corn cop media polish. What go you use to tumble brass ? Not interested in car products. I also have a stainless pin machine as well. Just interested in the polish product you use in cob. Currently I use Franklin Arsenal brass polish for vibratory case tumblers.
Thanks again

All I have ever used is Brasso, ammonia and all. In all my life I have never had an issue with the Brasso. I've used walnut hulls and corn cob media and I think I get a brighter finish with the corn cob media. Both clean the brass just fine.

I love the Cabelas brand brass polish.. Works great and brass stays shiny for a long time... A bottle last a long long time..
Also don't forget the course crushed walnut media that harbor freight sells for $25 for 25 pounds works great also.. Just be sure and get the course not the fine.. Both products are easy to find..

Dillon makes a good product that you add to the media. It is the same stuff your mom used to use to polish formica counter tops. Jubilee polish, the scent is unmistakable.

I read some time ago on this website that someone was using cat litter from a pet store. Cheap, big bag.

I tried cat litter made with crushed walnut. It didn't work. Bird bedding or lizard bedding aka crushed walnut shells works just fine. I do ad an occasional tsp of paint thinner to hold down the dust.

I just throw in a fingertip full of Mother's Mag and Aluminum metal polish with the corn cob... oh and some car wax. :) Cause that's what I have on hand. And the brass comes out darn shiny.

Ive tried several brands and the best to far is RCBS walnut media and it comes with a pack of polish. I usually try to use half and then dump it and replace with the other half when it gets too dirty or doesn't clean as well. It's the only tumbler media that will take magic marker writing off the cases.

Have you tryed the course walnut media that harbor freight sells??? Its $25 for 25 lbs... You have to get the course grind not the fine but it works great..

Go to your local big box pet supply store and grab some walnut bedding for reptiles. About 1/3rd the cost of the stuff the rest sell and it's the same thing.

No. may get a bag the next time I'm there.
I like it , you get a 25 lbs box and don't care about throwing it out when it gets dirty.. To me it works as good as the expensive stuff.. I mean its just crushed walnut shells... It really comes in handy doing range brass because it gets gritty or whatever just chunk it out in the yard..

Finely ground English walnut hulls .Known as lizard litter at PetCO. It does become dusty with use. No additives used.

My corn cob + metal polish/car wax takes sharpie magic marker off cases no problem.
I haven't tried the metal polish/wax. What kind do you use? The thing I noticed with the RCBS is that it circulates much faster than other walnut media I've used. Could be the size of the particles. It also happens to be the perfect size to stick in the primer holes so checking each one is mandatory.
